The Equation block has a maths field: type naturally, pick symbols from its keyboard, and the equation is set as you go. Nobody has to learn LaTeX. The same field lives in rich text and in the symbols toolbar, so maths can sit inside a sentence. Define the variables under the equation and the block lists them with their units.
